Professor Kerstin Pull is visiting professor at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics (UZH) and senior research fellow at Collegium Helveticum.
She is Chair of Human Resource Management & Organization at the School of Business & Economics at Tuebingen University.
Among others, Kerstin Pull held visiting positions at Stanford University and the Max Planck Institute for Economics in Jena.
From 2008 to 2010, she was Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Tuebingen University, and from 2009 to 2013, she chaired the Committee on Education Economics (Bildungsökonomischer Ausschuss) in the German Economic Association (Verein für Socialpolitik).
Currently, she is – among others – member of the Scientific Advisory Board on VET Research of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation in Berne. Professional activities outside academia include her membership in the supervisory board of KPMG AG.
In her research, Kerstin Pull takes a personnel economics perspective on HR questions. In most of her projects, she follows a quantitative empirical approach.
For her analyses, she uses different data sources that include archival data, survey data, experimental data, data from personnel records, and also sports data. Recently, her quantitative-empirical work is complemented by qualitative studies.
Kerstin Pull’s work is funded via a number of grants, among others by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the German Federal Ministry of Education & Research (BMBF) and the German Excellence Initiative.
