2019: Resolution of the Executive Board of the University Approving the Implementation Plan for the UZH Diversity Policy: Promoting, Practicing, and Benefiting from Diversity

On 13 August 2019, the Executive Board of the University approved the implementation plan proposed by the Office for Gender Equality and Diversity and the diversity policy steering group. The implementation plan came into effect on 1 September 2019.

During the drafting phase of the central and de-central measures set out in the implementation plan, UZH units were invited to take part in workshops to give input and to develop their own diversity measures. UZH’s Office for Gender Equality and Diversity supports the implementation of these de-central measures.

An initial interim report will be issued 18 months after the implementation plan came into effect.

2018: Resolution of the Executive Board of the University on the Development of an Implementation Plan for the Diversity Policy

On 13 March 2018, the Executive Board of the University issued the following resolution on the development of an implemention plan for the Diversity Policy: “After the Diversity Policy enters into force, the Office for Gender Equality will develop an implementation plan in consultation with the relevant offices and experts and submit the plan to the Executive Board of the University for approval.”

2016: Resolution of the Executive Board of the University on the Development of a Diversity Policy

On 24 November 2016, the Executive Board of the University mandated the development of a UZH Diversity Policy as follows: “The Executive Board of the University charges the Office for Gender Equality with the development of a Diversity Policy for UZH. The Office for Gender Equality will lead the project and collaborate with all units relevant to this work.”
